I needed a place to reflect and enjoy my own company for a few days, and I quickly decided on Lorne (one of my favourite places!). I decided to stay in the Cumberland hotel, which had one of the best views (I know I say it a lot, and this one was still better). However, the balcony from the Cumberland hotel was the perfect people watching platform, and I could watch surfers from the huge spa bath!

Hot tip- Do not pay extra for the ‘Rennie Ellis’ room, it did not live up to the expectations based on the photos.
